What: The KMBB Community Toolshed will serve as a resource for individuals and organizations seeking to carry out service projects in Baldwin County. With the understanding that these groups will be providing the people to perform the work, the KMBB Community Toolshed will provide the tools that are necessary for service projects by lending them out as requested.
Who: Any groups interested in carrying out service projects in Baldwin County are eligible to request materials and tools from the KMBB Community Toolshed. Projects with a focus on litter prevention, waste reduction, beautifucation and prevention of blight will have priority if multiple requests are made simultaneously.
When: The KMBB Community Toolshed will operate year-round and will function as an ongoing operating cost of KMBB.
Where: Any service projects occurring in Baldwin County are eligible to apply.
How: Groups wishing to request tools and materials from the toolshed shall submit a request through the KMBB website (www.keepmbbeautiful.org) no less than 1 month before the date of the event. KMBB will keep a record of all tools borrowed and will expect the tools to be returned no later than one week after the event. KMBB also requests a description of your project, the number of volunteers participating, and the duration of the project.
Why: KMBB seeks to facilitate all citizens of Milledgeville and Baldwin County to assist in fulfilling its mission. While continuing to encourage people to get involved in litter prevention and beautification efforts, KMBB will equip those volunteers with the tools they need to make a positive difference.
